Portrait of Jonathan Knight, from the band New Kids On The Block (NKOTB)
Yes, I've broken my « Donnie Wahlberg fanart year » but since it's one of his 'brothers' (it's a NKOTB term ), it's not really a problem, huh? While I was making my latest portrait of Donnie Wahlberg (#6), I heard of the fan birthday project a friend was organizing for Jonathan and thought I'd participate in my own way. The initial deadline was only a week away when I started working on it so it was a little stressful to say the least as I wanted to make a realistic portrait and not just a sketch.
May I say I hate my scanner? Since I used a graphite stick for the background (first blended with a tissue and then with a brush) that doesn't have the usual shiny aspect a 6B graphite pencil would have, it makes the hair (done with a 4B pencil) look kinda « flat » next to it. /end of rant
Now, about the artwork: graphite (Mars Lumograph) for the portrait and a soft graphite stick (Derwent) for the background, on watercolor hot pressed paper Size of the paper: 26x36 cm Size of the artwork: 20x30 cm time to draw: 45 hours Source: @Cuttersftbll on Twitter

Thanks, I'm glad you like it I loved them as a kid/teen, too, and I can't believe I heard about the reunion only in March this year! Since then, I'm on my little NKOTB cloud, trying to catch up with everything I've missed
